About the company

A Family Business,
Run Out Of Meridian

Treasure Valley Water Solutions is run by Brandon and Jennifer, a husband and wife team, out of Meridian. We are an authorized Hague Quality Water dealer, we test your water free across the Treasure Valley, and some days the honest answer is that you don't need us at all.

01

A local family, not a chain
and not a call center

Brandon and Jennifer run Treasure Valley Water Solutions together, out of Meridian. When you call the number on this site, you reach the people who own the business, not a scheduler three states away reading from a script. That is the whole point of keeping it small and local.

We are an authorized dealer for Hague Quality Water, the maker of the WaterMax system. Hague is patented and built in the USA, which matters for a plain reason: when a part is needed in a few years, it exists and we can get it. We are not selling this month's brand and moving on.

Most of this valley sits somewhere in the 8 to 15 grains per gallon band, with chlorine on top for disinfection, and water is not soft until it drops under about 3 grains. That gap is why glasses spot, soap will not lather, and water heaters fur up with scale. It is a real problem, and it is measurable, which is exactly why we lead with a test instead of a sales pitch.

What we will not do is tell you your water is bad when it is not. Plenty of visits end with us reading the numbers out, telling a family their water is genuinely fine, and driving home. We would rather earn the next call that way than close a sale we both know you did not need.

The Treasure Valley Water Solutions shirt worn on every visit

The same shirt turns up for the test, the install and every service call after it.

Most companies will tell you your water is bad. We tell you what the meter says. Some days that means a system, and some days it means shaking your hand and driving home, because your water is genuinely fine and you don't need us.

How we work

Four commitments we don't bend on

Six years in this trade teaches you where the industry earns its bad reputation. Four places we refuse to go along with it.

We test before we quote, every single time

Nobody gets a price over the phone, because a price without a number behind it is a guess dressed up as expertise. We run hardness, iron, pH, total dissolved solids and chlorine at your sink, and on wells we go further into nitrate, arsenic and uranium. Half an hour, no charge. See what we look for on the Treasure Valley water quality page.

We size the system to the house, not to the invoice

An oversized softener sits idle between regenerations and breeds bacteria in the resin bed. An undersized one runs hard water past you at the worst hour of the day and burns salt keeping up. Sizing is grains times gallons times people, and the honest answer sometimes means a smaller sale than we'd like.

Budget never decides who gets clean water

Some households can write a check. Plenty can't, and that has nothing to do with how much their kids' skin matters. So the rental program exists: same equipment, same install, monthly instead of upfront, laid out on our water treatment services page.

We're the ones who come back

Filter changes, salt delivery, resin checks, a valve that starts cycling at 2am. Same number, same truck, same person who sold it to you. We live here. Our kids drink this water too.

The messy middle: a Canyon County well that fought back

Early on we put a softener on an acreage west of Nampa, sized clean off a hardness reading. Four months later the cold tap came up with a faint metallic edge and the softened water went slick and inconsistent. We'd sized it correctly. We just hadn't tested widely enough.

The well carried dissolved iron the hardness test never saw, and iron fouls a resin bed the way limescale welds itself to a heating element: slowly, invisibly, until capacity falls off a cliff. There was a seasonal piece too. By August, water table drawn down, that well ran noticeably more concentrated than it had in April. We pulled the unit, cleaned the bed, put iron pre-treatment ahead of the softener and re-tested across two seasons before signing off. It cost us the margin on that job.

It bought us a rule: on any private well, run the full panel first and test again at the driest point of the year. Idaho came into 2026 off one of the warmest winters since records began in 1896, snowpack at or near record lows, and poor recharge shows up in well chemistry. We plan for the August version of your water.

Why we sell Hague, and why
the valve is the whole argument

We're an authorized dealer for Hague Quality Water, part of the A.O. Smith family. The systems are patented and built in the United States. That reads like brochure language until you've had your hands inside both kinds of equipment.

Most of what gets installed in this valley is an assembled system. A shop buys a stock control valve off the shelf, pairs it with a tank from one supplier and resin from another, programs it and calls it a product. Nothing illegal about that. But nobody engineered those parts to work as one unit, and when the valve starts short cycling at year four, the shop points at the valve maker, the valve maker points at your water chemistry, and you're standing in the garage holding the bill.

An engineered system is designed, tested and warrantied as a single piece of equipment by one manufacturer who has to answer for all of it.

Engineered systems versus assembled systems, from the installer's side of the wrench
What we look at Engineered system (what we install) Assembled system (the common alternative)
Who designed it One manufacturer engineers valve, tank and resin to work togetherSingle source Parts sourced from separate suppliers and bolted together locally
Control valve Patented head built specifically for the system it sits on Stock off the shelf head, the same one under a dozen different brand stickersGeneric
Where it is built Made in the USADomestic Commonly imported components with variable batch quality
When something fails One manufacturer answers for the whole unit Finger pointing between the shop, the valve maker and the tank supplierRisk
Parts in ten years Supported through an established national manufacturer network Depends entirely on whether that local shop still exists
Salt and water use Metered and regulated by design, not by guesswork Whatever the installer happened to program on the day

How we decide

What your result actually points to

Same test, different answers. Roughly how a result turns into a recommendation at your kitchen table.

City water in Boise, Meridian or Nampa with white crust on the fixtures then Softener sized to your exact grain count, with carbon behind it for the chlorine taste and smell
Private well anywhere in Canyon County then Full panel before any equipment, including arsenic and uranium, since Idaho geology contributes both naturally
Rural well surrounded by irrigated ground then Nitrate first, because roughly 5 percent of Idaho groundwater monitoring sites exceed the EPA limit of 10 mg/L
Near Mountain Home Air Force Base or Gowen Field then Ask about PFAS, which in this region is associated with firefighting foam use, and treat the drinking water directly
The equipment cost is the only thing stopping you then Rental program, same equipment and same install, paid monthly
Your numbers come back clean then We say so, write it down for you and leave. No system needed

In their words

What Treasure Valley families tell us afterward

Very happy with the purchase! Wow! After the 2nd shower my hair is becoming alive again! Thank you so much for the softener!

The bottom line

The Treasure Valley is one of the fastest growing regions in the country, and growth loads wells, aquifers and treatment plants that were never sized for this many people. Your water isn't the water it was ten years ago. Ours isn't either.

Here is what we promise: a free test with real numbers, a straight explanation of what those numbers do to your skin, your pipes and your water heater, American made equipment sized to your house, a rental path if buying isn't realistic, and the same person answering the phone in year five.

Brandon runs Treasure Valley Water Solutions with his wife Jennifer, out of Meridian, as an authorized Hague Quality Water dealer. He has more than seven years in water treatment, and what he wants out of a job is that the customer feels confident and looked after, from the first conversation to long after the system is installed. Behind him is a small team of three who handle the diagnosis, the service and the maintenance, and you can meet all five of us here.

The two of them cover Ada, Canyon and Gem counties, with regular work in Elmore, Payette, Owyhee, Boise, Valley and Washington. Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, weekends by appointment.

Out in the valley,
not just in a van

We show up at fairs and community events around the Treasure Valley, partly to answer water questions for people who are not ready to book anything, and partly because this is where we live. The sign in the front yard is usually how a neighbour finds us.
