Forty pound bags are awkward, and the brine tank always seems to sit at the far end of the garage or down the basement stairs. We bring the right salt, carry it in, load the tank, and check the softener while we are there. You lift nothing.

A bag of softener salt weighs forty pounds, and a brine tank takes several at a time. For a lot of people that is the one part of owning a softener that turns into a chore, and for some it is the reason the tank sits empty for a month while the water quietly goes hard again. The tank rarely helps, either. It tends to live in the least convenient spot in the house, a back corner of the garage, a laundry room off the kitchen, or at the bottom of a flight of basement stairs.
So we do the lifting. We bring the salt on a schedule that matches how fast your unit actually uses it, carry the bags in from the truck, and load the tank ourselves. Nobody in your house hoists a bag over a parked car or backs down the stairs with forty pounds in their arms. It is a small job and we treat it like one, but it takes a real headache off older customers, anyone with a bad back, and plenty of people who would simply rather not.
The right salt for your unit, kept clean
We match the salt to your softener and your water rather than grabbing whatever is stacked by the store door. Cleaner salt leaves less residue in the bottom of the tank, which means fewer of the plugged injectors and mushy build ups that turn into service calls later. We keep the tank at a sensible level too, because a tank crammed to the brim bridges faster than one filled with a little room to spare.

What one delivery visit

A salt run is more than dropping bags on the floor. Loading the tank puts us right next to the working parts of the softener, so we use the two minutes to look at the things that fail quietly. Here is what happens on a normal visit.

None of that adds to the price of the salt. It is just what a person who knows softeners does while standing over one, and it is the reason we would rather deliver your salt than have it dropped by a truck that never opens the lid.

A salt bridge makes a full tank
and a starving softener
This is the failure we watch for most. Over time, salt can set into a hard crust that spans the tank a few inches above the water, held up by the sides like a shelf. From the top the tank looks full, so nothing seems wrong. Underneath, the water sits in an empty gap with no salt to dissolve, the brine it draws is weak, and the resin never gets the strong solution it needs to recharge. The first sign at the tap is hardness creeping back, spotted glasses and a filmy shower, weeks before anyone thinks to blame the salt that looks perfectly full.
The other half of the same problem collects at the bottom. Fine salt and impurities can recrystallize into a dense mush that packs around the base and plugs the passages the brine moves through. Both are easy to clear once somebody opens the lid and looks, and both are exactly what a delivery that includes a real check is meant to prevent.
Loading the tank puts us right next to the control head and the brine line.

whenever you run low
We set a delivery interval to match your household. A big family on 14 grain water in Star burns through salt far faster than a retired couple in Nampa, so there is no single right number of bags or weeks. If you would rather skip the schedule and just call when the tank looks low, that works too. Either way you are not the one carrying salt.
Salt delivery covers the same ground as the rest of our work. Ada, Canyon and Gem counties are the core area, with Elmore, Payette, Owyhee, Boise, Valley and Washington by arrangement. Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Star and Eagle are all a normal run. We are out Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, with weekends by appointment.
Because a delivery already puts us at the softener, it is the natural time to fix anything the check turns up. If the control head needs a setting changed, or the resin is showing iron, or an injector is plugged, we handle it on the same visit instead of booking a second one.
