We choose the product after
the test, never before it
You will find four product lines below and one flagship system. What you will not find is a package we push on every doorstep. The order runs the other way around here. We test your water first, read the numbers out with you at the counter, and only then say which of these belongs in your home. Sometimes the honest answer is a softener and nothing else. Sometimes a well needs a filter sitting ahead of the softener so the resin survives the iron. Sometimes the drinking water at the kitchen tap is the only thing worth treating and the rest of the house is fine.
So read the lines below as a map of what we can build, not a menu to order from. Everything is sized from the free test, never picked off a shelf, and that half hour at your sink decides the rest. Take the written results to another company afterward if you like. We would rather you compare than take our word for it.

Water softeners
A softener is ion exchange, and it does one job well. It swaps the calcium and magnesium that make water hard for something that does not scale your heater or spot your glass. Boise, Meridian and Nampa homes typically run 8 to 15 grains per gallon, and water is not soft until it drops under about 3, so a softener is the common answer here. What it does not do is remove nitrate or PFAS. Those need reverse osmosis or dedicated media, and we will say so plainly rather than sell you a softener for a problem it was never built to solve. Tap and drinking water filters
If the water in the house is fine but the glass by the sink tastes off, this is often all you need. Carbon at the tap pulls chlorine taste and odor. Reverse osmosis at the kitchen tap goes further, and it is what actually takes nitrate down, which matters on a well with a new baby in the house. We set these against your own results, not a generic calendar, because a well carrying fines eats cartridges faster than city supply. More on the tap and drinking water filters page.
Whole home filters
These sit ahead of everything else and protect the rest of the system. Carbon takes chlorine off the whole house so it stops drying skin and chewing through rubber seals. Sediment catches grit before it reaches a fixture. Iron media pulls the iron that would otherwise coat a softener resin bed and bring the hardness creeping back months later. On a well, this stage is often what makes the softener downstream last. The whole home filters page has the detail.
Commercial systems
A salon that burns through hard water, a restaurant with spotted glassware, a shop that needs treated water for a process: the demand is higher and the duty is heavier than a house, so the build is different. We size these to the flow and the load rather than the bathroom count. Start on the commercial systems page and we will come look at the site.
The Hague WaterMax, one tank
that can do several jobs
The WaterMax is Hague's flagship, and most of our clients end up choosing it. What sets it apart is that it is not a single fixed box. It is a customizable unit that can combine softening and filtration stages inside one tank, sized to the household in front of us. That means a home needing softening plus carbon plus a little iron handling can often get all of it in one system instead of a row of separate tanks crowding the garage.
Because it is built to the numbers, no two are quite alike. A four bathroom place in Star with two teenagers and 14 grain water gets a very different configuration from a retired couple in Nampa. We do not decide any of that until the test is done. The WaterMax earns its place by matching the water, not the other way round.
Why one tank instead of three
Every extra tank is another fitting to leak, another housing to service and more floor space gone. Combining stages in the WaterMax keeps the plumbing simpler and the service visit shorter. When a part is needed in a few years, it is a patented Hague part made in the USA, and we can get it, because we service what we install.

We are an authorized dealer for Hague Quality Water. Hague was founded in 1960, is based in Ohio, and its equipment is patented and made in the USA. That last part is less a badge than a practical thing. When a family calls in year five with a fault, the part exists, we can order it, and we come out. We look after what we install rather than pointing you at a returns counter.
Money should never be the reason a household keeps showering in water we both know is bad. That is what the rental program is for. Same equipment, same install standard, spread out instead of paid up front, and we still handle the service. So the decision comes down to what your water needs, not what the shelf had in stock.
