Softeners, filters and drinking water systems across the Treasure Valley. We test first. Every system we put in an Idaho home gets built from what the meter read at that address, not from a package picked before we knocked.
Meridian based. Ada, Canyon and Gem counties are our core area, plus Elmore, Payette, Owyhee, Boise, Valley and Washington by arrangement.

Thirty minutes at your kitchen sink. No charge, no obligation, and we will tell you plainly if you don't need anything, which does happen.
We run the samples in front of you instead of taking them away and phoning in a verdict later. You watch the titration change color. Most homes in Boise, Meridian and Nampa come back between 8 and 15 grains per gallon, and water isn't soft until it drops under about 3, which is why the scale on a heating element ends up looking like dried oatmeal.

Where a cheap water test goes wrong
The common failure point is testing one thing and selling off it. A strip gets dipped, hardness reads high, a softener gets quoted at the table. But hardness alone won't tell you whether iron is waiting to blind the resin, or whether what should actually worry that family is nitrate, which a softener was never built to touch.
We see this constantly in second opinions. A system sized off a single number, running exactly as designed, on water it was never designed for. So we test broadly and leave the written results with you either way. Take the sheet to another company. We would rather you compare.
Idaho came into 2026 off one of the warmest winters since records began in 1896, with snowpack at or near record lows. Less water moving through means less dilution of what is already down there, and this is one of the fastest growing regions in the country besides. We size the system to the house,
not to whatever is on the shelf
Design takes three inputs: your test results, how many people live there, and how the plumbing actually runs. A four bathroom place in Star with two teenagers and 14 grain water gets nothing like the build a retired couple in Nampa needs.
We are an authorized dealer for Hague Quality Water, part of the A.O. Smith family. Patented, made in the USA. Less a badge than a practical thing: when a part is needed in four years, it exists and we can get it.

If the budget is the obstacle, rent it
We run a rental program for exactly this. Same equipment, same install standard, spread out instead of paid up front. Budget has never been a good reason to keep showering in water we both know is bad, and we would rather rent you the system that fits than sell you a smaller one that doesn't.

Most installs run half a day. We shut the water down, cut in where the treated line should begin, set the equipment level, run the drain with a proper air gap, then bring pressure back slowly while watching every joint we touched. Then we test at a tap. Soft in, soft out, or we are not finished.
The Meridian loop that was plumbed backwards
A softener loop that treated nothing but the lawn
A newer build in Meridian had a factory softener loop in the garage, capped and waiting, exactly where you would want one. We plumbed in and regenerated. Hardness at the kitchen tap barely moved: 12 grains in, 11 out, which makes no sense for a working softener.
So we chased it. The loop ran off the branch feeding the hose bibs, downstream of the split that carried water into the house. Every drop we softened went straight out to the grass. Labeled right, piped wrong, sitting like that since the house went up.
Two more hours to fix. We pulled the loop off the exterior branch, re piped the tie in upstream on the main, kept the water heater on the treated side and left the hose bibs raw so nobody pays to soften a lawn. Retested at three fixtures. Under one grain everywhere. That is what a weekend install misses, because if you never test after, you never find out.

Softeners are simple machines that fail in predictable ways. We look after what we install, and we will happily open somebody else's unit rather than tell you to replace one with years left in it. What we get called out for:
- A salt bridge has formed, so the tank looks full while the brine underneath has nothing to dissolve into.
- The injector is plugged with fines, so the unit never draws brine and just rinses on schedule.
- Iron has coated the resin bed, showing up as hardness creeping back months before anyone connects the two.
- A drain line running through an unheated garage froze in January. We see it every winter.
- The control head lost its program in a power cut and has regenerated at the wrong time ever since.
Most faults are simple once somebody opens the unit and looks.

Change the filters before the
water tells you to
Carbon is the sneaky one. It doesn't clog and it doesn't slow down. It just quietly stops adsorbing, and the chlorine taste walks through as if the housing were empty.
Sediment cartridges fail the opposite way. They load up, pressure drops across the face, and water channels around the packed material instead of through it, so you get worse filtration and a weaker shower at once. We set change intervals against your own water quality results rather than a generic calendar, because a well carrying fines eats cartridges far faster than city supply does. Cartridges ride on the truck. We swap them, sanitize the housings and confirm the system is producing before we leave.

Salt delivered, carried in and
loaded into the tank
Forty pound bags are awkward, and nobody enjoys wrestling them past a car and down two steps into a laundry room. So we do it. We bring the right salt, load the brine tank properly, and while we are standing there we check the level, break up any bridging and look over the control head settings.
That last part is the real value. Fifteen minutes of hauling, plus a two minute inspection that catches problems long before they reach your shower.

If it is nitrate work, softening resin was never going to help you and we will say so before you spend a dollar. Plainly. And if your water turns out fine, you get that verdict for free too.
